Deepthi Sankepalli, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist. She provides help for children from birth to 18 years of age who have issues ranging from feeding, reflux, constipation and abdominal pain, to IBD, celiac disease, and liver and pancreas problems. In addition to general GI needs, Dr. Sankepalli has a special interest in nutrition and IBD. Her care philosophy is to listen to the child and parents so she can understand what all is needed to help the child.
Originally from India, Dr. Sankepalli studied biological sciences, chemistry and physics before receiving her medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences in 2010. Her love of children landed Dr. Sankepalli at State University of New York Health Sciences Center for a pediatric internship and residency. Dr. Sankepalli then completed specialty training with a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Married and the mother of a two-year-old son, Dr. Sankepalli loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
